The phrase '1 in a million' never meant anything
But I saw you, you looked at me, and the butterflies started
You walked over to me, then I remembered you
I gasped and you chuckled, and smiled at me

Suddenley we were off, everything forgotten
You were holding me close, never letting go again
When we got home you kissed me, and I felt complete
I knew you missed me, but not that much

Days later, I told you I was supposed to leave
Dissapointment clouded your eyes, then axiousness
I had a questioning look on my face
You grabbed my hand, and we flew out the door

We ended up at the fanciest resturaunt
And we ordered, then you pulled out a velvet box
I gasped, inwardly this time, and I knew my eyes lit up
You opened the box, and there sat a ruby ring

I started crying, and I nodded yes even before you asked
You hugged me and said you were staying this time
We left, and then got married as soon as we could on the base
And we stayed togther and then I believed all the phrases
